A new Cost Controller role within the aviation industry is now available. You will be responsible for creating Cost Centre rates, analysing project results and issuing relevant reports on how to lower the cost base.
Creating and maintaining a cost accounting framework;
Developing and Monitoring Standard Costs in various Cost Centres;
Reviewing and explaining cost budget variances on a monthly basis;
Assessing monthly cost of material and cost of man hours in management accounts to identify opportunities for improvement;
Identifying wastages and consumables cost and addressing any cost overruns on a timely basis;
Liaising with the stock-take team involved in daily project management, inventory counts and spot checks;
Looking into stock variances from physical inventory cycle counts and stock-takes.
Managing supplier rebate reconciliations to ensure the completeness of amounts invoiced and credit notes received.
Actively participating in process improvements to reach goals and KPI’s.
Performing ad-hoc financial analysis as needed to support business.
Performing in depth project reviews and follow up on action points for Continuous Improvements.
Skill-sets and Requirements
Proactive and able to work on own initiative
Currently based in Malta
MS Office skills – advanced Excel skills
Analytical personality with attention to details
Education & Experience
Minimum of 2 years of Accounting Experience, preferably in Manufacturing
Experience with ERP and stock management systems would be an asset.
