Client Accountant

Our client, a professional services firm providing accounting, advisory, tax, and audit services to local and international clients, is seeking a motivated Client Accountant to join its growing Accountancy team. The successful candidate will work as part of a team of professionals responsible for preparing financial statements and supporting the delivery of accounting and compliance services to a diverse client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, update, and finalise accounting records and financial data.
• Process technical and non-technical information within accounting systems.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and personal tax returns.
• Prepare management accounts and trial balances.
• Maintain and reconcile cash books and accounting journals.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other financial reports.
• Liaise with relevant regulatory and supervisory authorities where required.
• Work collaboratively within the accounting team to complete assignments accurately and within deadlines.

Requirements

• ACCA qualification, University degree in Accounting, or currently pursuing such qualification.
• Previous experience within an accounting team will be considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Maltese.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
