Chief Financial Officer ( CFO )

A reputable client of ours, specialised within the Hospitality industry, is looking to onboard a Chief Financial Officer ( CFO ) to join their international team of professionals, to be based here in Malta. The designated person will hold a key leadership role within a growing international development group, having direct involvement in strategic financial decisions and project financing, as well as exposure to international Hospitality and Real Estate development schemes.

Duties:

• Manage budgeting processes and financial performance tracking.
• Oversee financial structures and budgeting for international development projects
• Ensure accurate financial reporting across all company entities, maintaining strong financial controls and reporting standards.
• Work closely with project managers and leadership to ensure financial alignment across various projects
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor project financial performance, cost allocations, and capital deployment.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and financial advisors as well as various stakeholders as required.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards, overseeing internal financial controls, governance, and risk management.
• Oversee cash flow management, financial planning, and liquidity management.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, efficiency, and reporting processes
• Supervise financial documentation, invoicing structures, and payment processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in corporate finance, financial management, controlling, or investment-related roles.
• Experience managing financial structures across multiple entities or jurisdictions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics
• Must be a locally warranted Accountant
