Assistant to the Financial Controller

Our client a leader in the retail industry is looking for an Assistant to the Financial Controller to join their team 

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Financial Controller in daily accounting and financial tasks
• Reviewing the work of the subordinates
• Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and documentation
• Support in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with regulations
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders as required.

• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role ideally experience in leading a team
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Ideally a qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
