A position has arisen to complement our Finance Team. The position calls for a dedicated candidate who is reliable, highly self-motivated, has a positive can-do attitude and a hands-on approach to work. 

The Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Assistant is responsible for a dual role that will support both the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions within the hotel.  

As requisites to the role, the ideal candidate needs to be:

• Pro-active, eager to learn, fast to adapt and integrate into a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment. 

• Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Be highly organised and flexible

• Meticulous and accurate with an eye for detail

• Must be an excellent team player 

This role supports a robust control and compliance environment and includes the following duties and responsibilities which need to comply with company policies and accounting standards.

Accounts Payable:

• Preparation of payments ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Invoice Processing complete with approvals, General Ledger coding & supporting documentation

• Supplier statements reconciliations to hotel accounting records together with follow-ups

Accounts Receivable:

• Assisting in the timely checking and processing of debtors invoicing together with required supporting documentation

• Post and allocate all payments received accurately and on a timely basis

• Assists in checking the travel agent commission’s reports to ensure accuracy of payments

• Respond to queries from guests, travel agents and debtors on a timely basis

General:

• Assist in internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and support 

• Assist the team with month-end processes and other tasks as needed

•Perform any additional tasks assigned to ensure that the hotel functions smoothly

Requirements:-

• Minimum of A level standard of education 

• Experience of minimum of 2 years in an Accounts department. Previous experience in Hospitality industry is considered an asset

• Proficiency in the use of computer applications especially MS Excel

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for customer interaction

• Have excellent written and spoken English
