Overall Role
The Accounts Payable Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining strong vendor relationships. Oversees the Accounts Payables function within the Finance Department ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and timeliness.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. To ensure timely payments as per payment schedule and established policies and
procedures.
2. To ensure that payments are aligned with agreed credit terms.
3. To oversee the plan and approval of supplier payment runs.
4. To oversee reconciliation of supplier statements and follow up on reconciling items.
5. To oversee control of invoice postings from outlets, ensuring they are updated in
Sage in a timely manner.
6. To address and resolve any vendor inquiries and discrepancies promptly.
7. To assist as necessary in negotiation and communication of payment plans with
creditors.
8. To manage the resolution of issues escalated from team members.
9. To make recommendations on improvements to the accounts payable process.
10. To provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members meet
performance standards.
11. To generate regular reports on Accounts Payable metrics, including aging reports and
key performance indicators.
12. To carry out other assigned tasks as delegated by the CFO.
