Meeting Point Malta Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit an Accounts Executive to join their team on a full-time basis. The purpose of the job is to assist the Financial Controller in the preparation of financial information, on a day-to-day basis and also on a month-end/quarterly basis.
Main Duties:
- Maintain bank postings up to date, inclusive of monthly bank reconciliation;
- Consolidation of information to be used for g/l accounting;
- Preparation of payments for non-hotel suppliers;
- Assistance in the day-to-day entries of the GL department;
- Preparation of month-end reports;
- Assistance and/or preparation of the management accounts;
- Assistance and/or preparation of the VAT returns;
- GL postings of cheques, petty cash, and other staff expenses;
- Adhoc reports required;
- Assistance in business analysis;
- Preparation of payroll journals and month-to-month comparisons.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualification in Accounts, and ideally studying ACCA;
- Prior experience in the accounting environment is considered an asset;
- Good number acumen;
- Good communication in English;
- Ability to solve problems;
- Highly motivated and can work autonomously;
- Good with MS office applications.
