Accountant (South of Malta)

Our well-established client of ours operating in the Manufacturing industry is looking to grow their finance team in Malta. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accountant will predominantly be responsible for maintaining financial records and ensuring the timely preparation of management accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of management accounts to be presented to the management
• Preparation of cashflow report and payment plan .
• Reconciling general and subsidiary bank accounts by gathering and balancing
• information for the subsidiary companies within the group
• Support in the group budget and preparation of forecasting
• Compile due diligence forms requested by banks as per requirements
• Handling any insurance claims of the whole group
• Process VAT Recaps and VAT Returns
• Follow-up debtors and issue debtors’ report.
• Maintaining an updated Transfer Pricing document
•  Assisting in the audit process as necessary
• Other ad hoc accounting duties as required from time to time

Requirements

• At least 2 years of previous local experience doing up to management accounts
• Knowledge of MS Office applications
• Excellent written and spoken English

Education and Experience

• A minimum of MQF Level 6 in Accountancy or better
