Accountant

We are working with one of Malta's leading firms who are looking for a Qualified Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual financial statements for Trusts and/or Foundations in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare and submit tax and VAT returns for Trusts and/or Foundations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Complete and file FATCA, CRS, and other regulatory reporting obligations accurately and within deadlines.
• Liaise with external auditors, banking institutions, and the Malta Tax and Customs Administration (MTCA) to support financial and compliance matters.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and management accounts to support business decision-making.
• Perform account reconciliations, analyse financial data, and produce client reports.
• Maintain the organisation's financial accounting records and ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting systems.

Requirements

• Fully Qualified Accountant, warrant is not a must have
• 1-2 years of local experience, post qualification in accounting or audit
• Excellent analytical and problem solving
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoke
