Accountant

Our client within the retail industry is looking for an Accountant to join their growing team 

Responsibilities:

• Review and manage reconciliations across bank, supplier, customer, and balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring financial deadlines are met and accounting records remain accurate and current.
• Prepare monthly management accounts along with supporting financial documentation and analysis.
• Assist with payroll accounting, including salary postings, tax deductions, statutory contributions, and related accruals.
• Support creditor and debtor processes, statutory filings, tax compliance requirements, and audit preparation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies while providing broader finance and administrative support when required.

Requirements

• Previous local experience in a similar role
• Execellent written and verbal Maltese language

Education and Experience

• Fully qualified or last modules in ACCA
