Cost Controller

Our client is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cost Controller to join a dynamic Finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to financial performance management and support operational decision-making within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse, and control operational costs to support profitability objectives
• Conduct monthly stock takes and investigate inventory variances
• Prepare and manage costing exercises across various food and beverage operations
• Compile and present financial and cost control reports
• Monitor budget performance and identify discrepancies or trends
• Ensure accurate profit and loss reporting and maintain strong financial controls
• Assist with audits, compliance requirements, and internal financial procedures
• Collaborate with operational departments to enhance financial efficiency and cost management

Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Proactive approach with the ability to support informed decision-making
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Experience with BirchStreet software is advantageous, while advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

Education and Experience

• 3–4 years of previous experience in a similar role, or in procurement, purchasing, or store management, would be considered an asset.
