General Stores Officer

We are looking for a General Stores Officer to support the efficient day-to-day operations of our General Stores. Reporting to the General Stores Manager, you will be responsible for stock control and organisation, while providing support to internal customers in line with internal policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, store and issue stock in accordance with company procedures and FIFO principles.

• Ensure stock accuracy through routine stock takes and ongoing checks, maintaining alignment between physical stock and the ERP system and promptly investigating and reporting any discrepancies

• Prepare requisitions, Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and other stores-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Organise and maintain the stores to ensure efficient stock control, traceability, accessibility and stock preservation.

• Liaise with internal departments to resolve stock and ERP-related queries.

• Provide efficient support to internal customers and assist with the daily operation of the General Stores.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A qualification at MQF Level 3 (O-Level standard) or equivalent .

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Good computer literacy and the ability to work confidently with computerised systems; experience using an ERP system will be considered an asset.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Good interpersonal skills.

• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• A hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
