Apcopay Limited is seeking to recruit a Senior Software Developer to join its growing Development Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated professional to play a leading role in the development of high-performance, secure, and scalable payment solutions within a dynamic and fast-paced fintech environment.
THE POSITION
Based in Malta and reporting to the Head of Software Development, the Senior Software Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performing software solutions that power Apcopay’s global payments platform.
Working closely with cross-functional teams across the business, the successful candidate will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design through to implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. The role requires a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges while ensuring the delivery of secure, reliable, and efficient systems that meet the performance standards expected of a leading payments orchestration platform.
The Senior Software Developer will contribute to the continuous evolution of Apcopay’s technology stack, applying modern architectural principles and software engineering best practices across all layers of the platform. This includes designing and optimising data models, modernising existing systems, supporting integrations with external payment gateways and service providers, and promoting technical excellence through code quality, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the development team.
The role also involves mentoring less experienced developers, contributing to architectural discussions, supporting production issue resolution, and helping drive innovation through the adoption of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
