DevSecOps Engineer

Apcopay Ltd is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support the reliability, security, and continuous improvement of our Azure-based platform. This role will work closely with senior technical stakeholders to maintain cloud infrastructure, strengthen DevOps processes, and promote secure engineering practices across the organization.

THE POSITION

Reporting to the DevSecOps Lead the DevSecOps Engineer will be responsible for supporting the reliability, performance, and security of the company’s Azure environment, including Azure App Services, networking, and Kubernetes (AKS).

The position will assist in maintaining platform governance within Azure, contribute to strengthening DevOps practices, and help drive automation using CI/CD pipelines. In addition, the role will support the implementation of security best practices, including Zero Trust principles, vulnerability management, and secure deployment processes.

The successful candidate will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to improve monitoring, incident response, and overall platform resilience, while helping to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and security standards.

This role may require participation in an on-call rota to support platform availability and incident response outside of standard working hours

Apcopay Limited, orchestrated by Synthesis, is a Single Layer Payments Orchestration Platform, that has been supporting merchants since 2004. It provides a unified, all-in-one solution, offering over 40 acquiring banks and 240+ payment options, processing 100 currencies for over 1200 merchants in 25 countries and connecting through a range of payment methods, including options such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Union Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

THE REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years’ experience working with Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform, with exposure to services such as App Service, AKS, networking, and cloud governance. Candidates should also have experience or strong interest in Kubernetes, containerised environments, and cloud security principles.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, scripting or automation tools, and platform monitoring solutions is important, along with the ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams and learn from senior colleagues. Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

Relevant certifications in Azure, Kubernetes, or security would be considered an asset.
