Yard Logistics Coordinator / Welder

We are seeking a motivated and practical individual to join our yacht yard operations team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating the positioning of yachts within our boatyard, ensuring efficient use of space while taking into account vessel dimensions, lifting schedules, and launch/lowering dates.

In addition, the role includes carrying out in-house welding and fabrication work, together with general maintenance and repair of yard equipment and plant machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the placement and movement of yachts within the yard.

• Drive a forklifter ( training will be given)

• Optimise yard space utilisation according to vessel size and scheduled launch dates.

• Liaise with yard management and operational teams regarding lifting and launching schedules.

• Perform small welding, fabrication, and repair work as required.

• Assist our yard technicians with maintenance and repairs of plant, equipment, and yard infrastructure.

• Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Experience in logistics, yard operations, marina operations, or similar planning roles.

• Ability to organise and manage multiple vessel movements and schedules.

• Competent welding and fabrication skills. ( small works)

• Practical mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication and organisational skills.

• Experience in the marine industry would be considered an asset.
