Hotel Maintenance Technician

Our client within the hospitality industry is currently seeking a skilled and hands-on General Maintenance Technician to join their maintenance team. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Carry out general maintenance and repair works across the hotel's facilities as required;
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests;
• Perform planned preventive maintenance to ensure the safe and reliable operation of building systems and equipment;
• Diagnose and complete basic repairs involving electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, tiling, fixtures, fittings, and general building maintenance;
• Work closely with the Maintenance team and other departments to ensure the smooth running of daily operations;
• Maintain accurate records of completed work;
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards;
• Provide support during emergency maintenance situations when required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a technician role within a hotel or similar hospitality setting is preferred;
• Hands-on knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and general maintenance procedures;
• Ability to work within a team or independently;
• Professional proficiency in English, both verbal and written;
• Physically able to perform tasks such as lifting and working at heights;
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekend and public holidays;
• Currently already residing in Malta with a valid work permit.

Education and Experience

• A technical diploma or relevant certification is preferred;
• Previous local experience in a similar role is mandatory
