Merchandiser

Our Client is looking for a Merchandiser who will be reporting to the Lead Merchandiser, the Merchandiser is responsible for increasing product placement, brand awareness and implementing promotions in supermarkets and retail shops.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily checks including, but not limited to, the fridge’s temperature, the product
• display, and ensure the products are displayed correctly.
• Develop and maintain a structured procedure for checking product dates and ensuring proper
• rotation is carried out.
• Inform, monitor and promote any new products launched by MDP to outlets in the respective
• regions, and confirm that the outlet has placed the orders through its respective distributor.
• Act as a brand ambassador and answer any queries related to the MDP products.
• Serve as the point of contact with outlets by providing customer service and demonstrating
• how to use any ordering systems.
• Check the availability of products on the market and provide daily reports on any findings.
• Participate during events and activities to sell and promote MDP products as needed.
• Promote and offer product samples in outlets when required.

Requirements

• Familiarity with planograms and product display standards.
• Outgoing, detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
• Valid driving license and use of own car.
• Physically fit, with the ability to lift and move heavy objects.

Education and Experience

• Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel for reporting, Word for documentation)
