About the Role

Inspire’s fundraising initiatives play an important role in providing the necessary funding to further Inspire’s mission. The Fundraising & Engagement Coordinator must plan, develop, and implement marketing and fundraising strategies to boost public awareness, engagement, and financial support. These efforts will contribute towards meeting departmental revenue targets whilst aligning with Inspire Foundation’s ethical guidelines and brand standards.

What you'll be doing

• Identify and develop partnership, sponsorship, and fundraising opportunities, including donation tins, collaborative campaigns, and community initiatives. 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with businesses, sponsors, donors, supporters, and external partners to strengthen long-term engagement and support. 

• Plan, coordinate, promote, and support the delivery of fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and community engagement activities from planning through execution. 

• Contribute creative ideas to enhance fundraising, branding, and public engagement initiatives to increase awareness, visibility, and support for Inspire. 

• Collaborate in the development of promotional and marketing materials, including social media content, newsletters, brochures, website content, and campaign communications. 

• Assist with online fundraising activities, ensuring donation platforms remain updated, accurate, functional and user-friendly. 

• Manage donation-related activities including donation tins, collections, stakeholder communication, and maintenance of related records and databases. 

• Monitor fundraising performance, track KPIs and prepare reports, summaries, and campaign updates. 

• Support the coordination and engagement of volunteers involved in fundraising activities and events. 

• Assist the Brand & Fundraising Manager in identifying opportunities to strengthen community presence, partnerships, increase visibility and grow fundraising income.                                 

• Provide administrative and operational support to the fundraising and branding team, including coordination, scheduling, follow-ups, data entry, record management, and responding to enquiries. 

• Ensure all fundraising, branding, and community engagement activities align with Inspire's values, ethical standards, and brand identity.

Additional Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with GDPR and all relevant organisational policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality and data protection standards at all times. 

• Uphold Inspire Foundation’s Code of Ethics, values and professional standards in all activities and interactions.  

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, databases, and documentation relating to fundraising and partnership activities. 

• Promote Inspire Foundation services, campaigns, events, and initiatives positively within the community.   

• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and positive team culture.   

• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and procedures during all events and activities.   

• Respect and promote diversity, ensuring sensitivity to the individuality, cultural backgrounds, and beliefs of all stakeholders.   

• Carry out any other related duties and responsibilities as required.

What we’re looking for

An organised, detail-oriented and creative professional with excellent communication skills, collaborative approach and a Can-do attitude.

Qualifications & Experience

• A recognised qualification at a minimum MQF Level 4 in Marketing, Fundraising, Communications, or a related field; or 

• At least 1 year of experience in sales, business development, fundraising, or a related role. 

• High proficiency in English (C1 level, both spoken and written); proficiency in Maltese will be considered an asset.
