Print Process Operative

The Print Process Operative is a flexible multi-skilled manufacturing operative role which is key to ensuring self-sufficiency of a manufacturing team. The role forms part of a team of operatives on one line on a shift, within one of the main business units of the site. The PPO will be responsible for the productive output of the machine on the line with established throughput targets, autonomous maintenance in line with the TPM CIL Plan, Change overs in line with SOPs as well as process control in line with the Quality Control Plan.

Main Areas of Responsibility

Maintain focus on meeting established KPIs and machine targets through consistent performance and process adherence.

• First line problem solving on the machine, identifying technical problems and providing solutions.
• Ensure that quality inspections are carried out in line with quality criteria
• Ensure all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are followed at all times. 
• Contribute to the timely and efficient execution of make-ready procedures in alignment with the Leading Hand.
• Operate inspection cameras and quality control tools to verify product compliance with specifications
• Continuously monitoring the quality of the press and making the necessary process adjustments to ensure quality is maintained and waste is kept to a minimum.

- This role is on a Definite contract with 4 shift basis.
