Head of Legal

A client of ours specialised within the Financial and Corporate sectors, handling a various portfolio of clients, primarily within the iGaming, fintech and crypto space, is looking to onboard a Head of Legal to take command of their Legal arm.

Duties:

• Oversee and coordinate the work of the legal team, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
• Liaise with external counsel, regulatory authorities, clients, and internal departments as required.
• Identify business development opportunities and contribute to the growth of the legal services function
• Provide legal advice to management and clients on regulatory, corporate, and commercial issues.
• Uphold the Organisation's quality control standards across all legal services delivered.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members on client engagements, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets, keeping partners and clients informed of progress and any developments.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients, building strong and trusted relationships.
• Support senior management with ad hoc legal and client-related requests.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a law firm or corporate service provider environment
• Strong background in corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Matese

Education and Experience

• Must be a locally warranted lawyer; This is a non negotiable requirement
