The HR Business Partner will liaise with Line Managers in driving and enabling the HR strategy, processes and procedures in line with business strategy and legal requirements. The HRBP provides a complete HR Generalist service to a business unit, taking responsibility for day-to-day HR matters and supporting HR annual processes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as a point of contact to the assigned business unit and provide generalist services, advising, coaching, influencing and when necessary, providing direction to members of the management team and employees.
  • Proactively support managers in the implementation and application of HR procedures such as disciplinary and grievance, performance management, absence management, etc.
  • Liaise with Occupational Health to ensure health related risks are minimised in the business.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Manage the recruitment process in its entirety, including application of visas for TCN and overseeing training / development of staff in the assigned areas.
  •  Support in managing and resolving employee relation issues.
  • Ensure all employees in span of control are correctly advised of Company procedures and practices.
  • Work with management team to identify development needs.
  • Where applicable ensure that the data in HR systems is accurate and up to date and managed in a lean and effective manner.
  • Collate and contribute to weekly and monthly HR reports.
  • Support and champion HR cycle processes, e.g. Pay Review, Talent Review, PDR Process contributing to continual improvement of all HR processes.
  •  Work with the wider HR team to deliver a broad range of HR Projects.
  •  Support a culture of employee engagement in line with the HR strategy, assisting activities such as Employee Survey action planning

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or in a similar field.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar role, ideally working the manufacturing industry.
  • Conversant with MS Office applications.
  • Experience in dealing with all aspects of HR practice including grievances and disciplinary procedures, absence management, consultation, employee relations issues, recruitment and selection, training, compensation and benefits and talent management. Proven ability to drive commercially led people practices.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to maintain confidentiality at the highest level in order to develop excellent stakeholder relationships
  • A proactive approach with demonstrable levels of previous continuous improvement and experience of leading and supporting change.
  • Organised with the ability to manage and prioritise a challenging and busy workload
