We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in the day to day running of the kitchen. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation, supervise kitchen staff, maintain high food quality standards, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations;
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a high standard;
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff during service;
  • Ensure food quality and consistency standards are maintained;
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies;
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with food safety regulations;
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff;
  • Assist with menu development.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in Malta on full time basis;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Flexibility to work weekend and public holidays.

Education and Experience

  • Previous local experience as a Sous Chef in a fast paced environment;
  • Leadership skills;
  • Having experience in fine dining restaurants is considered an asset.
