Position Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead their kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency, hygiene, and service while creating a positive and professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and motivate the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food quality and service.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
• Develop and maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and consistency.
• Create and maintain menus that reflect Mediterranean and Italian culinary traditions.
• Ensure the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Manage food costs, stock control, and ordering processes effectively.
• Train, mentor, and develop kitchen team members.
• Establish and maintain a strong kitchen culture based on teamwork, discipline, and excellence.
• Work closely with the management team to achieve operational and business objectives.
• Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements where required.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Has significant experience leading professional kitchen teams.
• Has a strong background in Mediterranean and Italian cuisine, with Sicilian culinary experience highly valued.
• Demonstrates excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
• Maintains the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and consistency.
• Has a positive attitude and a passion for developing a strong kitchen culture.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, premium dining environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to culinary excellence.
