Head Chef

The Job

• Lead the kitchen team and ensure high standards in food quality, presentation, and service
• Oversee preparation, cooking, and plating of all dishes according to recipes and quality expectations
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen, ensuring all areas are stocked and sanitised
• Manage daily kitchen setup and breakdown, ensuring all tools, equipment, and ingredients are ready for service
• Handle procurement, stock control, and ingredient quality while minimising waste
• Collaborate with management on menu planning, creating innovative and seasonal dishes aligned with the restaurant concept
• Develop and maintain training programs for senior chefs, promoting strong culinary standards
• Ensure full compliance with the Site Allergen Procedure
• Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth coordination during service
• Review and maintain Food Hygiene Policy with strict adherence to food handling and storage standards
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of kitchen staff
• Commit to continuous professional development and stay updated with culinary trends and techniques

Job Requirements

• Two to three years of experience in this role or a similar position
• Strong organisational skills, including team supervision and workflow planning
• Excellent attention to detail
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Strong teamwork abilities with mentoring and training skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-pressure environment
