Mechanical Engineer

Our client is looking to employ a Electrical / Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team. As part of your responsibilities you would need to: 

• Administer the technical activities of the engineering department
• Troubleshoot the daily technical issues
• Conduct assessment of any issues raised
• Writing reports of incidents, damages and on going works whilst escalating to senior management
• Assigning tasks to relevant personnel
• Maintaining a high safety standard towards workers and port equipment
• Liaising with 3rd parties on certain occasions
• Other duties that may arise from time to time as required within the engineering department

Working hours in Winter are as follows:

Monday to Friday: 6:45am - 15:15pm OR 7:45am - 16:15pm 

Working hours in Summer are as follows: 

Monday to Friday: 5:45am - 14:15pm OR 6:45am - 15:15pm OR 7:45am - 16:15pm 

Skill-sets and Requirements

• Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Maltese
• Able to interact with multi-functional project team members
• Calm, hands on and a problem solver

Education & Experience

• An Electrical / Mechanical Higher National Diploma (HND or HTD) or equivalent education
• Experience with Civil Engineering ill be an advantage
• Candidates with 5 years working experience in a similar industry will be given preference
