Our client is currently seeking to recruit a Development and Manufacturing Engineer within their Probes Department. Your main responsibilities will be to: 

  • Support the full product lifecycle, including design, development, production, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Develop a strong understanding of product applications and technologies to drive product enhancements and innovation.
  • Assist with technical investigations, product evaluations, testing, and improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver engineering projects and resolve technical challenges.
  • Lead or support manufacturing improvement projects focused on enhancing quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Ensure new and existing products are optimised for efficient and reliable manufacturing.
  • Identify opportunities for product and process improvements, including technical and commercial feasibility assessments.
  • Participate in root cause analysis of product failures, non-conformities, and customer-reported issues, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Prepare technical reports, project updates, and engineering documentation.
  • Support product releases, engineering changes, and the introduction of revised products or processes into production.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and process standards.
  • Ensure testing equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and documented to support consistent product quality.
  • Provide training and guidance to production personnel on procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Work closely with engineering, research, and manufacturing teams to support ongoing product reliability and quality improvements.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts (e.g., 5S, waste reduction, continuous improvement).
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel or similar).

Education and Experience

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
