An engineering consultancy is seeking to recruit an Assistant Building Services Engineer for immediate employment. The selected candidate will be involved in a variety of projects, primarily related to mechanical and electrical building services. The engagement may be on a full-time, part-time, or freelance/consultancy basis, depending on the candidate’s availability and experience.
The main responsibilities shall include:
• Preparing engineering designs and technical drawings;
• Preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and tender documentation;
• Reviewing technical proposals and contractor submissions;
• Assisting in the design of renewable energy and energy-efficient systems;
• Monitoring and reviewing contractors’ works and technical submittals;
• Supervising works on site as required and reporting progress to the relevant parties;
• Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers, and consultants regarding project coordination, scheduling, and deadlines;
• Assisting in project management, cost control, and quantity verification;
• Carrying out energy audits, preparing technical reports, and contributing to sustainable energy projects.
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
• A Diploma in Building Services Engineering or a related field (MQF Level 4 or higher);
• Good knowledge and practical experience in the use of AutoCAD software;
• A clean driving licence;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and liaise with various stakeholders;
• A proactive, solution-oriented approach and the ability to work on own initiative;
• Attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to quality.
Previous experience in building services engineering or project coordination will be considered an asset. Immediate commencement is preferred.
