Software Architecture Manager

Our client is a company operating within the fashion and retail supply chain.

• Take ownership of the company’s technical infrastructure, including cloud environments, databases, networking, monitoring, backup solutions, and deployment pipelines;
• Lead hands-on software engineering activities across ERP systems, AI platforms, e-commerce solutions, integrations, and supporting applications;
• Oversee system architecture, code reviews, troubleshooting, and technical decision-making to ensure scalability and reliability;
• Manage networking and cybersecurity operations, including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, access controls, and secure development practices;
• Drive cybersecurity initiatives, including identity management, vulnerability management, incident readiness, and security compliance;
• Manage external vendors and technical partners, ensuring quality delivery and SLA compliance;
• Mentor and support internal technical teams, contributing to team development and recruitment processes;
• Promote engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, documentation, automation, and observability;
• Support the continuous improvement and optimisation of technical systems and operational processes;
• Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in software engineering and/or technical architecture roles;
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a senior, lead, or managerial technical position;
• Strong hands-on experience with Python development and production-grade software engineering practices;
• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database design, optimisation, and performance tuning;
• Strong experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure and related services;
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, networking fundamentals, and secure development lifecycle practices;
• Experience with AI / GenAI technologies, including LLM integrations, prompt engineering, and AI-driven workflows;
• Experience managing technical vendors and external service providers;
• Experience with Odoo ERP systems will be considered an asset;
• Experience leading major platform or mission-critical system upgrades will be considered an advantage;
• Hands-on experience with enterprise networking and perimeter security tools will be considered an advantage;
• Exposure to modern cloud data stacks, data warehouses, ELT, and transformation tools will be considered an advantage;
• Familiarity with NIS2, ISO 27001, ITIL, TOGAF, or similar security and architecture frameworks will be considered an asset;

• Full professional proficiency in English is required.
