AML Screening Support Officer

We are working with a legal firm, who are looking to recruit an AML Screening Officer to join their growing AML Team.

What you'll be doing

• Review and analyse alerts generated through customer screening systems, determining whether escalation is required.
• Support onboarding and ongoing monitoring activities by assessing screening matches and investigating potential AML/sanctions risks.
• Prepare and escalate reports on material true positive findings to the Compliance Officer and MLRO where necessary.
• Maintain, validate, and monitor customer screening data, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of records, reports, and audit trails.
• Assist with periodic reviews, remediation projects, compliance monitoring, internal audits, and the optimisation of screening tools and controls.
• Monitor regulatory and sanctions developments, provide internal guidance and training, and follow up on outstanding screening-related matters and escalations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in AML screening, compliance, customer due diligence, or a similar role will be considered an asset.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Have a good understanding of the Microsoft Office and Windows environment.
