Role Overview
Our Client is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role offers exposure to an international client base across multiple industries, providing an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise and take on increased responsibility in a collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Oversight: Collaborate with Tax Supervisors to manage and refine departmental processes, ensuring all work meets professional standards.
• Team Supervision: Guide and review the work of junior team members, supporting their development while managing a portfolio of clients.
• Complex Tax Handling: Take responsibility for intricate Income Tax and VAT matters across a variety of business sectors.
• Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings, providing clear advice and updates on tax matters.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the creation and enhancement of procedures to streamline departmental operations.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Education: Fully qualified accountant.
• Experience: Minimum of two years’ relevant experience in the tax sector.
• Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English; Maltese communication skills are an advantage.
• Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex tax issues clearly and professionally to clients and colleagues.
• Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative, supportive, and capable of working within a dynamic team environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; strong knowledge of Income Tax and VAT regulations.
• Organisation: Capable of managing multiple clients and priorities effectively.
• Self-Motivated: Driven to deliver high-quality outcomes with minimal supervision.
• Problem-Solving: Able to assess complex issues and provide practical solutions efficiently.
