Client Accountant

We are working with a CSP who are looking for a Client Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, update, and finalise accounting records and financial data.
• Process both routine and complex accounting transactions within financial systems.
• Prepare and submit personal income tax returns in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Prepare and file VAT returns accurately and within regulatory deadlines.
• Produce management accounts and other periodic financial reports.
• Prepare and reconcile trial balances to support financial reporting.
• Maintain cash books and ensure accurate recording of cash transactions.
• Prepare and maintain accounting journals, ensuring all entries are accurate and complete.
• Liaise with regulatory and supervisory authorities to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and reporting obligations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of local experience in Client Accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
• Strong communication in English. Maltese speaking is a plus

Education and Experience

• ACCA or UOM qualified
