Technical Support Engineer (Second line)

Our client is seeking to recruit for a Technical Support Engineer (Second line) to join their team in Malta.  Your key responsibilities will be:

• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
• Troubleshooting issues escalated from first line support.
• Supporting internal ERP systems.
• Design, install, administer and maintain company servers and databases.
• Assisting with data backup and recoveries and infrastructure security.
• Monitoring network performance and maintaining websites as required.
• Provide on-call assistance as and when required.

Education and experience:

• Advanced Diploma in IT or any other related qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar role will be seen as advantageous.
• Experience with Windows Servers 2008 & 2012, Office365 and SQL Server.
• Experience on any ERP system, ideally on Shireburn and Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
• Prior exposure to networking will be considered an asset.

Desired skills:

• Valid Driving Licence is a must
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Highly organized and able to multitask.
• Problem-solver and attentive to detail.
• Good team player and able to work independently.
