A new position of a Business Development Manager is now available within the manufacturing industry. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and delivering national and international sales function at a tactical and strategic level for Malta and overseas 
  • Driving sales growth and develop market share across Malta and overseas 
  • Planning, implementing and managing sales strategies and activities to meet ambitious sales targets and drive profitability
  • Setting sales strategies and pricing policies per region
  • Reviewing retail market, major listings, brands and product distribution
  • Managing customer and product portfolio
  • Monitoring trends and consumer behaviours and habits
  • Representing the company at trade fairs and industry events
  • Identifying and attracting new clients and generating sales leads through commercial partnerships
  • Building a targeted list of prospective clients via networking, negotiating exclusive deals and alliances,  while developing new business and markets
  • Understanding client’s requirements and suggestion suitable solutions offered by the company
  • Issuing sales proposals to clients, negotiating terms and conditions and concluding contracts
  • Monitoring market trends and leading the development of new products and services targets for the international markets

Education & Experience

  • Previous experience in a Business Development position, coupled with an excellent career track record in a manufacturing firm, ideally on an international scale
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing or Business Administration
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Maltese and English
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office

You will be based in Malta, however, you will also be expected to travel from time to time.
