As a successful online gaming marketing operator, it is currently seeking an experienced Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) working with UKGC and MGA licenses, to join their team in Malta on a full-time basis.


  • Acting as MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer) in Online Gaming / Sportsbook / Poker / Casino / Lottery or relevant branch of the Gambling industry
  • Upholding and improving the procedures and structures of the MLRO role
  • Processing criminal procedures, suspicious reports
  • Reporting to Compliance Manager
  • Acting as a contact person with Authorities
  • Working closely with Risk and Fraud and Compliance teams
  • Developing reports to allow monitoring and routing of transactions between processors to ensure success goals are achieved
  • Compiling reports on levels of AML in business to management
  • Reviewing and screening online customers’ activities to deliver a seamless AML experience
  • Identifying suspicious trends or activities internally and externally
  • Assisting with suggestions for continually redefining the AML business rules
  • Attending and contributing to team meetings
  • Supporting and upholding relevant business policies and procedures
  • Supporting the business in reducing risk

Skills & Experience:

  • Ideally 2-3 years as an appointed MLRO
  • Must - Strong knowledge and experience in UKGC and MGA licences
  • Experience in Auditing
  • Must - Experience in SAR (Suspicious Activity Reporting)
  • Relevant training / Certification is a must - FIU (Financial Institution Unit)
  • The candidate should have strong Fraud and Risk experience
  • Strong communication skills and high energy
  • Team player and able to work collaboratively can work closely with other departments
  • English language fully proficient; German language fluency is considered a plus
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations and resolve swiftly and professionally
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Tech-savvy understands and embraces new systems, innovations and technology in the digital environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Used to working in a high volume, fast-paced ever-changing environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • An organized person with strong communication and presentational skills.
