JOB TYPE: Full Time JOB LEVEL: Management

An MLRO position is currently available with a local bank with a renowned presence.


  • Reports to the Board of Directors and Senior Management
  • Ensures compliance with current policies and procedures related to AML/CFT
  • Provide training to fellow colleagues and Board of Directors with regards to AML/CFT
  • Update bank's policies and procedures
  • Monitor client accounts and transactions
  • Liaise with authorities regarding compliance assessments and reports
  • Follow up on suspicious transactions
  • Assist in audits and investigations
  • Represent the Bank in external meetings, committees, and seminars

Education & Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of previous local experience within a similar role in a local bank is a requirement 
  • A degree in a related field would be considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills in both Maltese and English
