Proof Reader / Sub-Editor

Job Description
Standard Publications Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Proof Reader/Sub-Editor to join their team on a part-time basis. 

The Brief:
We are a publications company that publishes a portfolio of newspapers and magazines. We are looking for someone to join our established editorial team. The job entails editing copy originating from the newsroom and basic newspaper page design.

The Person:
Must have a passion for the news. Candidates should be computer literate, have an excellent command of English, and be able to work well under pressure. Training will be provided.

*The job entails working flexible hours during the afternoon and evening.

Publishers of three newspapers The Malta Independent on Sunday, The Malta Independent Daily and The Malta Business Weekly as well as our online portal www.independent.com.mt We also publish the magazines FIRST, Taste&Flair, Alive&Healthy and I Do Bridal Magazine. In June 2012 Standard Publications celebrated its 20th anniversary. Over these two decades we have continuously broken new ground, and we continue to do so. The publishing house started out with The Malta Independent on Sunday in 1992, followed by The Malta Business Weekly in 1994 and The Malta Independent Daily in 1996.
