Malta Public Transport Services (Operations) Limited is currently looking to recruit a Senior IT Support Executive to join their team on a full-time basis.

Including but not limited to
Technical Support:

  • Provide high-quality technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software-related problems promptly          
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment
  • Assist users with software installations, updates, and upgrades.

Incident Management:

  • Monitor IT systems and networks for potential issues and respond to incidents in a timely manner            
  • Document and track reported issues using a ticketing system, ensuring proper closure and follow-up with end-users.

IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure projects.

SQL Knowledge:

  • Utilize SQL knowledge to maintain DBMS and support customers on a low level should it be necessary.

Security and Compliance:

  • Help maintain the security posture of the organization by implementing best practices and adhering to security policies as instructed by management
  • Assist with compliance efforts, such as data privacy regulations and industry standards

Microsoft 365 and Azure Administration:
  • Manage and administer Microsoft 365 applications, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Maintain Azure resources with 3rd party suppliers, ensuring optimal performance and security
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Microsoft 365 and Azure services and provide timely resolutions.

Knowledge Sharing:
  • Share your expertise with other team members and actively contribute to continuous learning and development within the IT support team.
  • Be available for travel during work hours to destinations that require immediate assistance. 


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field
  • Proficient in both written and verbal in English
  • Certification in Microsoft 365, Azure and/or SQL are considered an asset
  • Must be in possession of a B-category driving licence
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in IT Support with a focus on supporting systems and infrastructure while working with relevant suppliers
  • In-depth Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and Azure Services
  • Proficient in MSSQL
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality IT support services.

In the past year, it is estimated that we carried around 40 million passengers, a significant increase when compared to previous years.
