IT Systems Specialist

M.C.M. Maintenance Centre Malta Ltd is currently looking to recruit an IT Systems Specialist to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Description:
We have established a long-standing and well-experienced team of professionals to serve our customers’ needs to exceptionally high standards. We are also proud to have welcomed colleagues of more than twenty nationalities into our team, from apprentices to licenced aeronautical professionals. In order to continue supporting our customers with our dedicated team, we are looking for an IT Systems Specialist on a full-time basis to support our IT department and the company’s infrastructure in Luqa, Malta.
The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the daily running of the company group’s servers and networks, and its infrastructure.

The position calls for a prospective team player with the ability to work independently. S/he must be able to work flexibly within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and able to work under pressure to meet the company’s desired exigencies.
This role calls for a person with a proactive approach to upkeep the company’s infrastructure.

The main responsibilities attributed to this position are, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring the group’s servers and networks and overseeing their usage
• Installing, configuring, maintaining and operating system hardware and software
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting ad hoc employees’ queries
• Ensuring close collaboration, whilst embracing the appropriate team spirit with the IT department in its entirety, within the company group
• Developing and maintaining technical processes documentation
• Ensuring tier 3 support as required.

Requirements include:

• Possession of a higher national diploma in IT (networking and systems support) or equivalent
• Possession of IT certifications will be considered an advantage
• Qualification in CCNA and/or MCSA / MCSE will be considered an asset
• Excellent knowledge of Windows, Windows server, MS Office, 365, MS Office 365 and Azura AD
• A strong background in SQL, DB admin, router, VPN setup and Cisco (a Cisco licence would be advantageous) is desired.

Previous experience in network administration including software and hardware replication, asset management and IT security would be preferred.
Excellent command of written and spoken English is imperative.
