Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven IT Systems Administrator to join our Client’s growing team. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who is proficient in IT systems, networks, and cloud services. You will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimising IT infrastructure across various technologies while providing first-level support in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Systems & Network Administration: Maintain, monitor, and support IT systems, including servers, networks, workstations, and Layer 2/3 devices, ensuring performance, availability, and security.
  • Technical Support: Deliver efficient first-level troubleshooting and maintenance for users, systems, and network infrastructure.
  • Cloud & Microsoft Technologies: Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft environments, including server operating systems, Microsoft 365, Azure, and SharePoint Online.
  • Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical issues across hardware and software platforms, ensuring minimal downtime and effective user support.
  • Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain accurate documentation of systems and support tickets, while actively contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented culture.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

  • Education: A diploma in IT with a focus on systems management is essential. Cisco CCNA or Microsoft MCP, MCSE or MCSA certifications are required. Certification in Microsoft cloud technologies is considered an asset.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar IT systems administration role, ideally within a professional services or IT environment.
  • Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
  • Communication Skills: Able to communicate complex technical matters clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Works well independently and as part of a team, maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing Microsoft server OS, Microsoft 365 suite, Azure, SharePoint Online, and networking equipment.
  • Organisation: Highly organised and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Self-Motivated: Demonstrates initiative, drive, and ownership over responsibilities, thriving under minimal supervision.
  • Problem-Solving: Logical thinker with a structured, proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving IT issues.
