IT Systems Administrator

Our client is looking for an IT Systems Administrator who will be responsible for maintaining the company’s IT network, servers, communication and security systems, ensuring that the IT infrastructure within the facility runs smoothly and efficiently, while adhering to cGMP, company policies and procedures, EHS, good engineering practice and the relevant regulations at all times. Among the responsibilities, daily tasks will also include:

• Installing, configuring and maintaining software, hardware, networks and administrative systems in accordance to the required standards
• Managing network servers such as file servers, email servers, application servers and VPN gateways, support LANs, WANs, WIFI networks, Internet and Intranet systems
• Regularly reviewing system and application logs to identify potential issues with IT systems and monitoring the usage of IT systems and resources
• Repairing and recovering from hardware or software failures while coordinating and communicating effectively with impacted users
• Actively participating and taking on the assigned roles in case of an emergency situation requiring the activation of Business Continuity Plans
• Performing any other additional duties that may arise from time to time

• Have excellent troubleshooting skills and possess the ability to analyse problems rationally and provide solutions, if necessary, after consultation with his/her Manager
• Ability to demonstrate excellent people/communication skills

• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks

• Advanced Diploma or Degree in IT are considered as an asset
• Microsoft and Cisco certifications
• Good knowledge of networking concepts, WAN/LAN configuration, security and monitoring
• Good knowledge of MS Windows Server and Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of common telecommunication systems
• Hands on experience of installing IT hardware and software
• Experience with Cisco ASA firewall technology, switching and routing
• Have a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience using Active Directory
