IT Support Officer

Helix Genetics Limited in Malta is looking to recruit an IT Support Officer to join their team on a full-time basis. The selected candidate will be responsible to ensure that all the company’s systems and websites are operating efficiently through monitoring, reviews, maintenance, and upgrades.

Responsibilities:

• Provide the first point of IT Support contact for all staff.
• Assisting in installing, inspecting, and maintaining computers systems, IT infrastructure, and network systems.
• Responding to enquiries regarding system operation from users, tracking of issues and solutions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues to resolution and/or escalate to supplier or partner organisations as required.
• Escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support.
• Administration and maintenance of WordPress sites.
• Performing daily system monitoring of servers.
• Monitor performance of the websites.
• Providing basic training to end-users when necessary.
• Maintaining an updated inventory for IT Assets.
• Ability to work on-call for critical issues as required.
• Set up new users' accounts and profiles.

Requirements:

• Be a good team player and must be organised and demonstrate multi-tasking abilities and communication skills.
• ICT systems support administration experience in a similar role will be considered favourably.
• Fluent in Maltese and English. Other languages are an asset but not required.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

• An IT qualification.
• Minimum of 1-year experience in IT support.
• Basic understanding of Windows Server, Windows 10, and Linux operating systems.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Ability to prioritise your workload.
• Be self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.
