DeMicoli & Associates in Malta is looking to recruit an IT Support Officer to join their team on a full-time basis. 

Job Description:
The company is a dynamic Architectural company working in a friendly environment. As an IT Support Officer, you would be providing helpdesk support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to ensure business continuity at all times. The chosen candidate will be expected to handle all day-to-day issues and assist the management in directing the development, implementation, and administration of all the IT Systems, both software and hardware and ensure they are running smoothly.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware;
  • Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance;
  • Configuration of Windows and Office applications;
  • Setup, support and maintain printers;
  • Liaise and work with third-party vendors;
  • Manage software licensing;
  • Ensure backups are successfully done;
  • Assist end-users with day-to-day queries;
  • Maintain and update hardware and software of internal IT Systems;
  • Assist with internal IT server operations including backup, monitoring, and reporting;
  • Setting up of new PC workstations;
  • Configuration of Windows and Office applications;
  • Maintain all documentation and inventory of internal IT systems;
  • Escalating issues to 2nd line technical support if required.

The ideal person should have:
  • An IT qualification;
  • Minimum of three years experience in IT support;
  • Basic understanding of WLAN technology and network systems;
  • Basic understanding of virtualisation and virtual infrastructure principles (VMware and Hyper-V);
  • Basic understanding of IP addressing and TCP/IP Networking;
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft products including Active Directory, Windows Server, Windows OS, Exchange Servicer, and Office applications;
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
