Role Overview
The IT Support Executive will play a vital role in delivering timely and effective desktop and IT support to internal and external users. This position is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in IT systems and a proactive, hands-on attitude. The role offers exposure to a wide range of technologies and the opportunity to work alongside experienced IT professionals in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Deliver responsive IT support via telephone, email, remote sessions, or on-site visits, ensuring issues are resolved within agreed SLAs.
  • System Installation and Configuration: Set up and configure computers, software applications, and peripheral equipment for optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing and resolving issues with hardware, operating systems, printers, servers, and network devices.
  • User Assistance: Support users in navigating business-critical applications, including email platforms and collaboration tools.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of support requests and solutions, contributing to an evolving internal knowledge base.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

  • Education: A diploma or higher qualification in Information Technology or a related field is desirable. A+ certification is an asset.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a similar technical support role, ideally within a dynamic business environment.
  • Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A collaborative team player who builds positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office, and common hardware components. Familiarity with network protocols and server support is advantageous.
  • Organisation: Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Self-Motivated: A proactive individual who can take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions swiftly.
