Helpdesk Support Technician

As a Helpdesk Support Technician, you will be part of the ICT team, we are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to our internal users.

Main Duties:

  • Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely resolution
  • Document support activities and resolutions in the ticketing system
  • Hardware installation and troubleshooting of desktop/laptop devices
  • Maintain and update the inventory of hardware and software company assets
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Escalate service requests that cannot be scheduled within the agreed service levels
  • Assist in the timeliest manner according to internal SLAs
  • Assist in technology procurement.

Job Requirements:
  • Good understanding of basic IT terminology
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and other productivity software
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
  • Analytical/Logical thinking
  • Ability to conduct basic troubleshooting
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn are a must
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to follow manuals and procedures
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Working within a compliant environment (GDPR) and ensuring that compliance requirements are met
  • Previous experience in helpdesk or other IT Support roles & any IT-related qualifications will score additional points.
