Scrum Master

A leader in the aviation industry is looking to employ a Scrum Master to join the IT Team. The selected candidate must be familiar with the Lean-Agile principles and will find success by enabling teams to deliver results across different cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and facilitate critical team meeting ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives.
• Accountable for the effectiveness and productivity of such meetings.
• Support product owners in building a high-value product backlog and defining the scope of upcoming sprints.
• Encourage the early involvement of team members in the process of building the product backlog.
• Empower and guide the teams in self-organization, and help the teams achieve higher levels of maturity as delivery progresses.
• Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing barriers, not necessarily eliminating such constraints.
• Lead the way with the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices, helping our development team to deliver amazing outcomes for our customers on their behalf.
• Help teams implement best practices and relentlessly improve on them.
• Motivate teams to have effective retrospectives and hold regular health check-ins.
• Coach and mentor other scrum masters and team members to a higher level of maturity, ensuring that our ways of working are consistent across the teams and resonate with the culture of our organization.
• Facilitate workshop training on Agile mindset, frameworks and competencies.
• Participate pro-actively in the planning of releases.

• 2+ years of experience with Jira, Jira Align, Confluence or equivalent
• 3+ years experience in delivery through any Agile development framework (SCRUM, SAFe or similar)
• 2+ years experience in effective implementation of Agile and Lean principles as SCRUM Master
• SAFe certified, experience or detailed understanding (or other scaled agile frameworks)
• Ability to see the big picture as well as focused on details in delivery.
• Excellent professional communication skills, ability to approach senior stakeholders using appropriate level of details, terminology, and fit-to-purpose communication.
• Ability to work in a continuously changing environment, proactive with can-do-attitude, looking for solutions and opportunities.
• In-depth knowledge of agile methods and strong project management skills.
• Ability to influence and inspire the team to achieve excellence and best practices
• Has a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Comfortable working with a distributed team.
• Foster self-organization and an environment of accountability.
• Leadership skills to be a technical leader of the developed system.

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field of study
• Scrum Alliance Certification
