Systems Engineer

A global communication technology solutions provider is searching for a Systems Engineer as part of their growth strategy. Selected candidate will help build, maintain, and troubleshoot their rapidly expanding infrastructure. Forming part of a young talented team of engineers, deploying mission-critical applications while ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.

Responsibilities:

• Managing and monitoring systems, both software and hardware.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain systems.
• Ensure the highest levels of system availability.
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks.
• Work with the Quality Assurance and Development teams on bugs and continuous optimisation of systems.
• Maintain constant backups of mission-critical systems.
• Provide 2nd level support to our Customer Service team and be part of a periodic “on-call” roster for out of office hours support.
• Liaise with service providers and external partners for problems related to hardware.
• 24x7 proactive monitoring and support of the live and pre-production environments where needed
