A client of ours is looking for a Systems Administrator to join their growing team. Within this role, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers using Windows
- Installing hardware and software and participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of the clients
- Actively resolving problems and issues with PC's and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company
- Going on-site to clients' premises whenever necessary
Education & Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field
- 3 years' experience within an IT Systems Administrator position / Service Desk preferred
- Experience with database, network and system administration
- Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols, local area networks (wired and wireless)
- Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems and desktop applications, server backups, printers, scanners, remote access and remote control software and data cabling
- Experience with scripting and automation tools
- Developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
- Working knowledge on VOIP telephony platforms, 3CX or equivalent
- Cloud Services; Microsoft 365, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing help-desk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
