Networks Engineer

A well-established bank in Malta is looking to employ a Networks Engineer to join the IT Team. The selected candidate will be part of an IT team focusing on managing operational IT Infrastructure, liaising with other members of the IT team and 3rd party suppliers. The ideal candidate will work on their own initiative with a keen eye to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Review and implement the necessary changes to the organisation’s infrastructure;
• Maintain and upgrade any physical servers and storage devices required to run the organisations infrastructure;
• Monitoring of systems and infrastructure, and setup of additional monitoring objects to assure visibility of the organisation’s systems;
• Setting up mechanisms and systems to assure business continuity;
• Coordinate and oversee planed failovers of all systems;
• Assure proper backup mechanisms and replications are in place;
• Assuring system up-time;
• Rolling out of virtual servers to cater for additional services as per the organisation’s requirements.
• Coordinating with the Security and Network Engineer on Security and Network projects.
