IT Manager

A well-established company based in Malta is looking to recruit an IT manager. This person will be mainly responsible for the overall IT function, as well as liaising with the group’s senior management to formulate the Group’s strategy, establish priorities and oversee objectives. The main responsibilities would be: 

• Analyzing business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the group to develop overall solutions for IT requirements
• Liaising with various IT service suppliers to ensure good service and project completion
• Help define IT infrastructure, architecture, and processes
• Continuously analysing current processes, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement
• Monitoring performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure
• Ensuring security of data, network access and backup systems
• Acting in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• Tracking and maintaining hardware and software inventory
• Assuring all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
• Evaluating technology risks in order to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.
• Remaining up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices
