Infrastructure Engineer (iGaming)

Our client who is a large well-known iGaming company is looking to recruit an Infrastructure Engineer to work in Malta. You will be in close coordination with the other technical teams and The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for ensuring optimal operation of the production Gaming Infrastructure.

Responsibilities Include

• Be the escalation point for the 24x7 NOC team, with the possibility of on an on-call basis if required
• Maintaining, upgrading, optimising and ensuring maximum uptime of live, pre-production and development environments
• fixing and troubleshooting network and system issues
• Participating in the implementation of new system and infrastructure projects
• Ensuring that systems monitoring setup is robust and properly structured
• Assisting the various Technical Platform Teams with tasks that require optimisation/modifications to the current infrastructure
• Overseeing the preparation of environments for the testing of software releases, participate in the planning, scheduling and execution of said releases
• Preparing documentation and handover to NOC, for recurrent operational tasks
• Participating in budgeting exercises pertinent to your own line of work, includes liaising with third parties when needed
• Willingness to adopt a work-to-finish attitude, recognising that in order to deliver projects on time working longer hours may at times be required
• Willingness to travel for short periods, to carry out work when and if the need arises
